Theoretically, I'm a software engineer, but at heart, I'm a fine art photographer, lover of colors and sparkly stuff, pun and alliteration enthusiast, and last but not least, child of God. I just graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill (BS Computer Science & BA Music ‘21) and started a new adventure in Washington, D.C.
When I was in middle school, my parents bought the cheapest Nikon DSLR for my sister. I stole it while she was in grad school, googled all the funky settings, took photos outside, ran inside to check them, fiddled with the settings, ran outside again, and repeattttt - aka, I would end up with hundreds of photos of the same leaf ;)
Photography became something I would do to recharge and just have fun with. Down the road, I saved up for a new camera, then started taking photos of family, friends, grads, and events.
and I like organizing them before I eat them :)
the longer the better. bonus points if there are lists inside the lists.

Bank on It - Burna Boy
Too Good to Not Believe - Bethel

all thanks to passing out in a metro, losing a tooth which the er doctor stuffed back in. I'm really quite proud (;

These goals have been the impetus for my photography, because it’s something I truly enjoy and it gives me a peek into God’s beauty - whether it’s a photo of a tiny flower or a group of smiling friends.
There are few things that I enjoy as much as being behind a camera; there’s something magical about catching the perfect moment moment, chasing after the sun for light and airy bokeh, the list goes on.
I’m so glad you’re here and I can’t wait to meet you and capture memories!!
My parents were never big on photos. In fact, my dear father is my most difficult subject. They did, however, buy a nice new camera when my oldest sister was born and there are countless albums of her. There are a few of my second sister. And then there's me. zilch. nada ;) Everything changed once I got a DSLR camera, and I'm embarrassed to admit how often and how much I scroll through old photos, reliving memories that are now immortalized. Commemorating moments in one's life are such a beautiful and sacred way of remembering God's goodness and hand in each of our lives.
This entire business is so much more than photographs, LLCs, contracts, or portfolios. At the end of the day, my utmost goal is to build and create something that is excellent in the hope that this business reflects the excellence of God's work. Excellence is a quality that I work to emulate in every aspect of my life, and photography is no outlier. I want to build an experience for my clients that is streamlined and timely, honoring of their needs and wants, and ultimately a joy and sweet memory.
Over the past few years, I’ve been learning how God, through beauty, creativity, and enjoyment, reveals new facets of His goodness and majesty. Growing up, art had always been something I prioritized below any practical or lucrative endeavor. What I’ve realized is that, when I inhibit myself to only rational and seemingly useful things, I’m constraining God into a black-and-white box. But God has put color, brilliance, and luminance into everything and everyone through the gift of art, beauty, and creativity. Though I don’t consider myself the most creative person, I’m learning to delight in God’s grandeur through this.
