Ya know, family photos might not be the first think of at UNC Chapel Hill ( Go Heels! 🙂 ). In fact, family photos tend to get a bad rep. But in reality, family photos can be a super fun and fast experience. Ryan and Kristen are the sweetest parents known to mankind, and they have three adorable children. I met Ryan and Kristen about 5 years ago, before their two littlest ones were even born. They truly love and cherish each of their little ones, and every time I spend time with them, I feel such a sense of hope for a family. They’ve invested time into building a home and family that it joyous, loving, and simply overflowing with God’s love. Were there sticks being thrown and dirt being eaten? Maybe. But there were also beautiful smiles, happy laughs, and so many sweet memories captured.
This was taken at Coker Arboretum on UNC Chapel Hill’s campus. And UNC Chapel Hill has a long history with Ryan and Kristen. They met at UNCCH many years ago, got engaged at this very arboretum (!!), and worked for many years here as well! I’ve always loved this garden, since it feels like a quiet oasis separate from the humdrum of the university. It’s crazy how two steps into the trees, you just feel like you’re in a totally different place. We got there in the morning and found a patch of grass nestled between gorgeous magnolias. The sun shone perfectly through the leaves and created such lovely bokeh in each photo. It really couldn’t have been more perfect 🙂
